Access to Community Education (ACE)

About this cause

The ACE charity is constituted to provide or assist in the provision of the facilities for learning activities for disabled people and their careers/helpers to improve the conditions of their lives. We provide swimming, creative writing, drawing and painting, indoor sports, pottery and gardening. We have a social day on Thursday when we catch up with a hot drink and receive an up date from the chair. We then listen to a guest speaker, hold a quiz set by a member, hold a raffle or an activity. Learning together gives a purpose to our lives that changes loneliness and depression for new challenges, support and friendship. We share our activities with a local Cheshire Home. We have 8 trustees, disabled people and volunteers, who manage the wishes of the members. We subsidise transport.
