About this cause

We are a vibrant heritage house bursting at the seams with creative activity. Built in 1582, Grade II* listed and in a beautiful park we seek to be a dynamic force within our community bringing people together and reflecting the philanthropy of Sir Sydney Waterlow who donated the House and park for the people of London. We seek to be a flagship of good practice whose impact is also felt beyond our community - an exciting place attracting people across London whilst playing an integral important role within our immediate community. Following our recent major building project we look forward to sharing our new facilities with everyone and reaching out to those who are at a disadvantage. Co-Op support enabled us to run a pilot project which has been the springboard for this application.

How this cause brings people in the community together

We will provide vital continuity for disadvantaged young people who risk dropping through the net when the youth & community centre closes Jun18. Free performances bring everyone together for a fun shared experience keeping them connected. Creatively exploring change &local history our project will reaffirm a sense of belonging, engender community cohesiveness & offer real skills and experience.
