About this cause

We provide a quiet restful sanctuary for the local community and beyond. In particular the garden is designed to give easy access to the less mobile visitors with raised beds and wide pathways for the ease of wheelchair users, The garden is used frequently by local schools (both primary and secondary) for educational purposes, the local Live at Home Scheme, art groups and many organisations looking after people with special needs. The garden provides all year round colour and scent which enables individuals and groups to visit and appreciate at any time in the year, in addition special features are carefully incorporated to ensure easy access and interest for everyone to enjoy. Our objectives are to continue to maintain the garden and encourage more and different organisations to visit.

How this cause brings people in the community together

Being the only public garden in Shifnal and solely maintained by volunteers and is open 24/7 for all ages and abilities. A peaceful and safe haven to enjoy during all seasons of the year. Many local community groups as well as individuals can use the garden for relaxation as well as educational purposes. The volunteers are always available to guide and help those organisations who wish to visit.
