We want to update our advertising material as we have changed our bus and are fundraising for a new caravan.
About this cause
We are a small organisation, solely run by volnteers who have been active in Peterhead for 50 years. Our main activities are:- 1) We provide "sitters", who go into peoples homes and stay with cients who have medical problems, these clients could have dementia, fear of going out or other health problems. The sitters relieve the burden of family members for a few hours a week and give the clients a change of face and someone to talk to. 2) We have a 10 seater minibus which is available to community groups and organisations, picking passengers up at home and then returning them, thus allowing them to leave their homes. 3) We have 2 fully accessable caravan based at Fochabers which we rent out to elderly and disabled. We also run an advice service and have wheelchairs for hire.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We need to let people know we are here and the services we provide, with all the government cutbacks, councils do not have funds the serices they used to provide and we need to let the public know that we can alleviate their problems.
