We need funds to develop a community garden and cafe with support services and signposting.
About this cause
As a church we offer God's love and blessing to ALL. A safe place; a transforming place & a sending out place. We host community groups everyday of the week including Guides, Brownies, Rainbows, NHS support groups, Youth support services, U3A groups. As a church we run a regular children's club; a weekly Friendship Club focused on supporting those on their own; a weekly Toddler and parents lunch and playtime, again focused on supporting isolated young mums; a small scale Cafe offering internet access and a chance for a chat over several days in the week. All these sessions are open to the general public whatever their faith. We have other meetings for church members which are faith based, including daily prayers for our local community.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Improve the local environment visually and provide opportunities for community engagement and garden therapy. Provide a meeting place, a listening and signposting service for the local community. Combat the isolation which local people have identified, especially amongst the older generation and young family members.
