About this cause
We are the Parent Teacher Association for Worth School. We raise vital funds to give additional support to the school to increase the positive learning opportunities for our children. We are a small school with less than 70 children on roll and with increasing limits to funding, our support has become crucial. We consistently aim to provide additional resources and to bridge any gaps in central funding the school receives. Above all we aim to do so in a fun way that enriches the experiences of all involved with Worth School by building happy memories for pupils, teachers and parents. The PTA's financial input allows the purchase of books, equipment for play, sports, music and art activities for school and funds school outings, with much of the funding going toward transport costs.
How this cause brings people in the community together
By getting our pupils out and about we can strengthen their sense of identity as the future of the community and cement school/community relations. Pupils will actively learn how they can help and support their community to thrive as we involve them in both existing community events and develop new projects that encourage them to work with and help local people directly throughout our community.
