Bridge of Don Young Sports Leaders

We want to train 40 Young people in their Sports Leaders Award in Bridge of Don to go on and lead activities for young people in the area.
About this cause
Sport Aberdeen is a registered charity committed to creating opportunities, inspiring people and changing lives through sport and physical activity. We deliver sport and physical activity services on behalf of Aberdeen City Council. This includes: 6 swimming pools, 9 sports centres, 1 ice rink 3 golf facilities. We also work in conjunction with a range of other partners, including sports clubs, Police Scotland, NHS Scotland, sportscotland and National Governing Bodies of Sport. Purpose, Vision & Values Our Vision is to "Inspiring people, creating opportunities and changing lives through sport and physical activity."
How this cause brings people in the community together
The project will provide Young People over the age of 14 to develop essential leadership skills and increase their knowledge of a variety of sports and activities which they can deliver to other Young People. All participants who complete the course will be deployed by Active Schools to help lead and support a number of after school clubs and activities taking place in the local community.
