We plan to remove an existing area of grass and replace it with all weather surface, enabling more space in winter for the children to play.
About this cause
We are a small committee helping to raise extra much needed funds for a small, but vital village school to enhance learning. This ranges from helping to improve outdoor spaces such as forest schools and pond area, as well as making improvements and updating play areas, to funding extra electronic devices, providing fruit for the children every day and subsidising transport for school trips to enable all children to attend. The fundraising events have 3 groups of people in mind- the children, the parents and trying to incorporate the local community too. We are currently fundraising to extend the outdoor play space as the school has grown but the playground hasn't! We hope to be able to change a section of grass to all weather surface.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The children will have more room to exercise and run about.
