We wish to purchase training equipment, training/match kits, match analysis equipment and starter kits for eight new teams.
About this cause
Sandiacre Town Youth Football Club has been in existence since 1978 and enjoyed relative success on and off the pitch. The club boasts its own licensed clubhouse, has one full size pitch and 2 mini soccer pitches, we have 30 registered league teams. The clubhouse is used for club events and can be hired by the community for private functions. Our club ‘ethos’ is simple, develop all our age groups, improving the status of the senior team and encouraging more girls to get involved in football. We wish to actively promote diversity within our club and ensure football remains a fun sport to be involved with. We have 350 registered players and over 1000 members. We cater for athletics and social elements within the community such as bingo, pool and darts teams, entertainment nights
How this cause brings people in the community together
Sandiacre North is an area of disadvantage. Crime statistics continue to rise and the police crime map indicates incidents within the area The Club is a place where the community have excellent community sporting and leisure facilities, a hub of the community where people can socialise and families meet. No barriers to membership, the facilities are adapted for people with disabilities.
