We want to raise money to assist with purchasing equipment that enhances the education and enjoyment of the children of the Federation.
About this cause
We are a PTA which raises funds for all of the local schools in the Alston Moor Federation, which includes Alston Pre-school, Alston and Nenthead Primary Schools and Samuel Kings Secondary School. We organise fund-raising events, as well as social events for both the children and for the community. We also support the children of the schools to organise events and to participate in events we have organised. We have an active, visible presence within the community and encourage both greater community involvement in the schools and greater involvement of the pupils in the community. We promote equality and integration throughout.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We believe that retention of education on Alston Moor is beneficial to the whole community. We promote & encourage community involvement within the schools by welcoming all volunteers & arranging events that all of the community may enjoy. We aim to induce positive relationships across all age ranges and inspire the children to become positively involved in their local community as they grow up.
