We want to create a playpark for all children, whether disabled or able bodied, including new pathways and lighting.
About this cause
Play As One Scotland are trying to create an All Inclusive Playpark in Dunfermline. Children with a range of disabilities will be able to play alongside able bodied children. We believe that ALL children should be able to play together. No such provision is made in the local community for this and this flagship playpark will be the first of its kind in Scotland. Trustees of the charity work on a voluntary basis to raise money and also awareness in the local community. This groundbreaking park will have an Interactive Area as well as a Sensory Garden. The Equipment and Groundwork will be very colourful and it will have new lighting around it and specially adapted picnic tables. Children will be able to play together irrespective of their physical or mental abilities, Making Play Inclusive.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Because it is the first playwark of its kind it will be a template to show how all play parks should be throughout Scotland. Being able to have a facility like this in Dunfermline will bring together kids from all backgrounds and abilities to play together. Its going to be groundbreaking so there will be a lot of interest in the play park. This will bring in visitors from other communities.
