We're turning 50 and want our local community to join us for a celebration. Money would fund room hire, entertainment and materials.
About this cause
Ecclesall Pre-school has been operating since 1969 and we have come a long way from our humble beginnings in the front room of a local mum. Much has changed over the years, but our primary motivation always had been to provide high quality education for the children of Ecclesall and the surrounding areas. We have up to 60 children from 2-5 years on our list (with no more than 30 attending per session) and have established close links with local schools to give the children the best start possible when they move on to school. As a charity we are managed by a voluntary management committee and we are inspected by OFSTED. Our last OFSTED report in May 2015 found the provision of Early Years Education to be Good with some Outstanding features.
How this cause brings people in the community together
EPS has great links with local schools and has been an important part of the community since 1959. Allowing friends of the school to come together with new families to introduce the school (and it's wonderful staff) and to say thank you to everyone who has supported us to date, would be a wonderful way to mark this special anniversary; while also providing a great day out for local families.
