We would like to have a trip away, Christmas party and a visit to pantomime for our sheltered tenants and older adults in the community.
About this cause
Sheltered housing tenants social committee made up of sheltered housing tenants from the three sheltered housing developments within erskine, cullen,blantyre court and park mains, supported by housing support staff helping organise social events for all sheltered tenants and other older adults in the community funded by various fundraising events throughout the year to help combat social isolation.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Many older people and supported adults can become isolated at home due to ill health, poor mobility or lack of contact with others an activity or event involving family and friends and other community groups has a very positive effect for everyone involved and helps the local community have a better understanding of older adults needs, as well as promoting independent living.
