Forest of Marston Vale
Community Development
We want to build an oak structure in Rectory Wood on which people can have leaf shaped plaques to commemorate a loved one or a celebration.
About this cause
Since the 1990s, the Forest of Marston Vale have planted over 1.5 million trees across the 61 square mile area between Bedford and Milton Keynes, making the area a thriving place to live, work and play, both now and for future generations. To achieve their goal of 30% tree cover, they need to plant another 5 million trees and they need your help.
How this cause brings people in the community together
There is a growing demand in the local community for a structure in our woodlands where people can commemorate loved ones or celebrations - if the need grows, we can expand this existing structure or build new ones at our other sites in the Forest, for other local villages.
