About this cause
Epsom Playhouse Pre-School is a charity registered with the Charities Commission and is run for families in the community. All profits made are invested back into the school for the benefit of the children. The Pre-School is run by an elected Committee, of volunteers, who are collectively responsible for the school. Epsom Playhouse Pre-school is the first step on the educational ladder, offering morning and afternoon sessions for children aged 2 to 5 years. Children under 3 years are recommended to attend at least 2 sessions a week. Children aged 3 years and over are recommended to attend for at least 2 full days. Through a well-planned curriculum, practitioners support the children through their development, ensuring they leave us confident and happy and ready for Primary School.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our pre-school, as a charity, is not for profit and works to a tight budget. There is never money to buy resources that develops basic science concepts. We hope that investing in environmental science will help nurture the children's interest and concern for our environment now and as adults. We hope that this can also feed into Epsom and Ewell Borough Council's 'green spaces' initiative.
