We are fundraising to update the books and musical instruments for the children.
About this cause
Alpha Pre-School is a community preschool supporting children ages 2 - 5 with their early education. Alpha Pre-School has been serving the community of Higham Ferrers and surrounding areas since 1967 and celebrates 50 years in October. Alpha Pre-School is a charity and is run by a committee which includes the parents of the children who attend, of which there are approximately 50 enrolled at present. I am a parent of three children who have attended/attend/will attend Alpha Pre-School and I currently serve on the Committee as Secretary on a voluntary basis. Most of the educational resources that the children use are provided by the fundraising that takes place. At the moment we are fundraising to update the books and musical instruments for the children and hope to raise £500.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Many residents of Higham Ferrers, their children and now grand children have attended Alpha Pre-school. The updated books and musical instruments will benefit the children that currently attend Alpha Pre-School and those that attend in the future.
