About this cause
We promote healthy lifestyles that bring real, lasting, positive change to individuals and communities. We work and support families suffering from poverty, destitution, struggling with poor mental or physical health and isolation. With our outdoors project, Nature Connection for Families, we support disadvantaged families with children and young people to connect with nature, work together developing team building and communication skills, provide them with opportunities to develop healthy self-expression and to relate positively to one another. The social and educational input we deliver through a wide range of outdoor activities supports a sense of community, personal growth, and a willingness to contribute and work together with others.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We move vulnerable families away from their deprived, stressful environment. Help them better cope with stress, which is aggravated by poverty, illness and isolation, and overcome issues that negatively impact their lives. Bring them to a space in nature where our activities stimulate, improve relationships and provide a valuable creative outlet for participants.
