About this cause
With its origins dating back to early 1900’s, Rochford Town Sports and Social Club is set in the heart of the community of Rochford, providing a wide variety of sporting and social activities to members of all ages. With over 185 members aging from 5 to 85 the club is focal point of sport and recreation in the Rochford area, as we aim to increase participation in a healthy lifestyle for all people in the community Whether it is the youngest or oldest member everyone is made to feel at home regardless of their background and ensure the club lives by its moto “One Club”. Given the club has successfully run for over 100 years, we all looking to ensure the club has the foundation required to enable the club to continue running for the next 100 years.
How this cause brings people in the community together
By re-decorating the existing clubhouse this will create a new community hub where existing and new members can meet and socialise in a clean, comfortable and welcoming environment. Through refreshing the existing premises it is hoped we can attract more members and provide more free activities to encourage participation across the community.
