32nd Glasgow (1st Kirkintilloch) Scout Group
Young People
We would like to re-develop the waste ground adjacent to our scout hall, to provide a safe environment to teach outdoor skills.
About this cause
Scouting exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society. The values of Scouting - integrity - we are honest, trustworthy and loyal. respect - we have self-respect and respect for others. care - we support others and take care of the world we live in. belief - we explore our faith, beliefs and attitudes. co-operation - we make a positive difference, we co-operate with others and make friends. ,
How this cause brings people in the community together
This is currently an uncared for space which faces a carpark and is unsightly within the town centre. It has become a dumping ground for street signs, collects rubbish blown from the carpark and litter from the local passing school children. We believe by adopting the space we can create a useable, manageable space which our 80 members would greatly benefit from.
