About this cause
South Seeds is a community organisation based in the South Central area of Glasgow. We aim to work in partnership with residents and organisations within the local community to help improve the look and feel of the area. Under the climate challenge fund South Seeds is further developing the project to increase energy awareness and helping people learn more about growing food and reducing the amount of waste that we produce. South Seeds is involved in a wide variety of different activities all centred around the goals of tackling climate change, promoting energy efficiency and making the local Southside community a better place.
How this cause brings people in the community together
There are many negative stories about Govanhill and this would be a positive activity, solving many residents immediate problem of being cold and lonely. Saving residents money on their energy bills, by plugging up draughts, can significantly reduce their bills. Improving their lives within the community.
