Money will be spent on BSL communicating wellbeing providers to support pupils who are deaf or have a speech language or communication need.
About this cause
We help deaf and hearing impaired children and adults, their families and other carers, with services and support for education, training, personal and career development, employment and inclusion in the community.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Deaf people are twice as likely to experience mental health issues compared to hearing people. The situation is made worse as Deaf people find it harder to access support. This project will enable our community to recognise the importance of supporting their mental health as part of their daily routine and develop strategies to support them during challenging times.
