About this cause

Clapham Woodcraft Folk is part of a national children’s charity run by volunteers. It aims to develop children’s self-confidence, love of nature and awareness of the world, based on friendship, equality and co-operation. We like our activities to be affordable and open to all. We have always welcomed boys and girls together, as well as all races, creeds and abilities. We meet regularly in term time in schools and community halls and we also take the children on camps, residentials, hikes and outings such as threatre, fun swims, watersports and to animal sanctuaries. We have 5 groups within the age range 6 to 16 years, plus adult leaders, parents members and older teenagers who help with the activities.

How this cause brings people in the community together

By bringing together children and families from different backgrounds, ethnic groups and cultures to cooperate and learn together.
