We want the brownies to enjoy the local woodland skills centre and pay instructors to teach them about the environment.
About this cause
Brownies is a youth organisation for girls aged 7 to 10 years. Our group opened in September 2016 and we currently have 28 girls on the register. As a new group we have had little opportunity to raise funds so are running on the subscriptions that the parents pay each term. Brownies meet each week and work towards badges and other challenges as well as enjoying the outdoors, cooking, doing craft work, playing games and making friends. We aim to make our brownies considerate and confident young people who are eager to find out about the world around them and the wider world through taking part in various activities, adventures and outings.
How this cause brings people in the community together
It would enhance the childrens knowledge and enjoyment of the out doors. It would give them skills that we could not otherwise carry out within our weekly meetings. It would teach safety skills needed to use tools and equipment and also give an insight into wildlife and countryside crafts.
