About this cause
Our 'Friends of Red Gates' are a very friendly and welcoming registered charitable group of friends, parents, carers, and staff supporting our fantastic Red Gates School for all our lovely children aged between 4-11 years of age; each child with varying special needs and learning difficulties. We share and organise fun events throughout the year in order to raise funds towards purchasing extra resources, play items and school trips which benefit all our children here at Red Gates. Past events have included Cake Sales, Christmas/Summer Fair stalls, sponsored sports events, ‘Bags2School’, Valentine’s Discos and Sponsored Bounce for all the children to enjoy! We would love to raise enough monies to be able to purchase much needed sensory equipment. Thank you so much for your support.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Red Gates is extremely proud to have been awarded the flagship 'Inclusion Quality Mark' in recognition of excellent practice. We actively promote links with our neighbouring Gilbert Scott Primary School, Woodlands Children Centre, Courtwood and Forestdale Schools. Our inclusive culture extends into the community with links benefiting both mainstream pupils and those with special needs .
