We want to upgrade play equipment in a popular park and encourage creative play in an environment that is sympathetic to its surroundings.
About this cause
The objectives of the committee are to manage and maintain the playing fields and play area for the local community to enjoy. The site at Beesmoor Road is the second most used public space in the village (Parish Plan 2013). The committee meets at least 8 times a year to ensure that any issues that may develop are dealt with quickly and effectively. We liaise with the Parish Council regularly.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The playing field and play area are one of the most used facilities in the local community. It includes play equipment, which is over 40 years old and is in need of renewal. The project will replace equipment and provide a greater variety, particularly for the under 12's and for disabled children. It will also create an environment where accompanying adults can sit and enjoy the space.
