About the Project
We will be educating children, families and the older generation on the benefits of physical activity on both physical and emotional health. We will be providing children the opportunity to participate in activities they may not have access to currently, helping to build confidence and resilience. Our project is intergenerational and we hope to engage in a physical program with a local care home.
About the Charity
We are a committee run, charity pre-school caring for children in the local area from 2 years to 4 years old. We also run wraparound care for both of Pinvin schools, which includes breakfast club and after school club. We currently have 25 pre-school children on roll and over 80 after school children. We strive to be a' community' setting where we care for the whole family, recognising and understanding the challenges families face, we provide a safe, caring environment where learning is child led, with a focus on outdoor learning. Our ambitions next academic year are to focus on healthy lifestyles, teaching both children and families about the importance of good diet and physical exercise and how to achieve this, demonstrating a positive impact on both physical and emotional health.
