We want to create a learning environment outside the classroom with canopies for shade and a tree house for exploration.
About this cause
We are a parent teacher association for hockley primary school, which is a small local school with approximately 350 children between 4 and 11 years. As a PTA we raise money to help fund equipment and much need resources, to ensure all children have every opportunity to reach their full potential. We believe along with our school that every child matters and should be offered every opportunity to grow and learn. A recent pupil survey highlighted the children's desire to have a outdoor learning space, so they can take the classroom outside. We need to raise funds to meet the childrens wishes with outside canopies to provide shade and a tree house for exploration and imaginitve learning. We value our children's contribution to the school and would love to make their vision a reality.
How this cause brings people in the community together
It will help the local community as it will broaden the leading environment for approx 350 local children that attend the school. It will help them to spend more time outside which is important for children in this technological era. Some children also struggle with the standard classroom environment and this will enable them to benifit from an alternative classroom setting.
