Heene Helping Hands
Young People
Help us enhance our outside space to ensure our children have a happy, fun, safe and healthy school experience.
About this cause
Heene Helping Hands is the parent-run fundraising charity at Heene Church of England Primary School, Worthing. The money we raise is used to subsidise the school trips and also fund equipment and experiences for the children, which the school could not otherwise afford. Heene is a busy town centre school supporting over 420 children aged 4-11. We are very fortunate to be within such a supportive community and regularly run a Christmas and Summer Fair to raise money for school projects.
How this cause brings people in the community together
After 18 months of fundraising and the generous support from our local co-op stores we are happy to say Heene Primary School have a new playground. Our next job is to make this a fun, creative and educational playground for all of our children aged 4-11 years to enjoy. We would like to create an outside seating and staging area where the children can have outside lessons, story time and stage performances. This will allow the children to learn new skills and will boost confidence and creativity through performing arts. We would also like to add an outdoor table-tennis table so the children can learn a new sport.
