We use rebound therapy to help young people with a severe disability or challenging behaviour. Money will pay for the facility and coach.
About this cause
We are a specialist Rebound Therapy and Play Centre who provide opportunities for disabled people to explore movement and physical activity through use of trampolines, accessible play and sensory equipment. We offer activity to people of all ages from 0 to adult with our highly qualified and experienced staff support individuals needs and teaching new skills. Our objectives are to give everyone the chance to be themselves and express themselves in a safe and understanding environment. For this project we wish to target a small number of young people who find it impossible to access community activities. We want to provide 1:1 sessions to help build their skills and confidence to support their personal development and facilitate their reintegration into mainstream society.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The project will help to support families who have children with severe disability to be part of the community where they are not judged or excluded. The young persons development will enable them to access the wider community with more confidence which in turn helps to educate society as disabled people become more visible 'out and about'. It also presents disabled people positively locally.
