Help fund a project that helps marginalised, homeless and socially excluded adults to tackle exclusion and promote health and well being.
About this cause
A prevention and crisis intervention resource centre providing support, advice, information, sign-posting, training & practical help to vulnerable adults experiencing homelessness,social exclusion,& severe poverty. We provide a safe place to break the cycle social exclusion,over 400 new clients registered last year with 70-90 people attending per day. Improve financial stability- all eligible clients helped to claim benefits advice given appropriate to needs. Prevent homelessness - support finding alternative accommodation, tenancy attainment. Provide routes into employment/training,support with CV writing, job search, interview techniques. Provision of access to health care with a structured programme of activities to promote physical & mental well-being.
How this cause brings people in the community together
By creating a local solution to meet local needs of the area rebuilding lives & connecting people. Reducing antisocial behaviour promoting community cohesion increasing community citizenship & assets by volunteering & supporting others to move on whilst improving the area, their mental & physical health allowing them to remain active in their own community & improve overall their quality of life.
