We want better play equipment for the younger children in the village, including a new slide.
About this cause
This is our only Community building for the village where regularly there is a community lunch, bridge club, film night, knit & natter group, cricket club and, occasionally, a toddler group. Outside is a children's playground which needs renovating and some new equipment. We have had a small grant for a new cradle swing, as the Council removed the broken one and we had another grant from the County Councillor to repair the fencing. We would like to put in a slide and rocker in place of the very outdated rope climbing frame.
How this cause brings people in the community together
There are many young families in the village and we have a large park area for ball games and would like them to be able to have a good play area for the children as well with some decent equipment.
