Our services aim to help clients: Develop positive coping strategies to better cope with the trauma, depression, and stress caused by their loved one's substance use; Improve their self-worth and self-belief; Improve family communication and relationships; and Improve their long-term health, well-being, and quality of life. Service activity is tailored-made to ensure that each client receives intensive support to meet/resolve their unique needs. SFSS is the only service in the Forth Valley area that meets the needs of families affected by substance abuse.

How this cause brings people in the community together

The community we support faces wide-spread substance use, causing children/families to feel stigma, guilt, stress and poverty/social issues. We will bring isolated children together and give them a platform to have their voices heard, helping them better communicate with peers/family, gain coping skills, improved self-worth, and reduced long-term isolation, starting positive community change
