We want to create a fully resourced centre for young people and the wider community of Britwell to utilise and enjoy.
About this cause
The Britwell Youth and Community Project (BYCP) works within the Britwell ward of Slough. The project provides a range of leisurely activities for young people after school and during the school holiday period in order to develop their physical, mental and spiritual capacities so that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society. Our beneficiaries include more than 400+ (aged 8+) young people who use our services each year as well as the wider community who as parents and carers have a safe environment to send their children too.
How this cause brings people in the community together
A fully resourced centre will encourage young people to participate in various social activities peaking hobbies and as a result with regular participation of the young people at the centre, there will be less young people congregating at the local shops intimidating residents and they will also have more confidence and maturity to distance themselves from crime/harmful activities.
