Young People
We want to buy camping equipment to take the children away on camp. This includes tents, stoves and cooking equipment.
About this cause
We are a Scout Group based in Leasowe. We work with many young people aged between 6 - 14 years some of which come from disadvantaged or vulnerable backgrounds as well as some with a variety of additional needs. Scouting exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society. Scouting takes place when young people, in partnership with adults, work together based on the values of Scouting and: - enjoy what they are doing and have fun; - take part in activities indoors and outdoors; - learn by doing; - share in spiritual reflection; - take responsibility and make choices; - undertake new and challenging activities; and - make and live by their Promise.
How this cause brings people in the community together
It will help children who are part of the group to experience camping and various outdoor activities also it will help the children understand and learn some useful life skills and help educate them also it will help the community to the fact that the children will learn how to respect and look after the community parks and wildlife
