We want to replace the heating in our scout base so that we can meet during the cold winter months in a safer and more comfortable space.
About this cause
Scouts helps children and young adults reach their full potential. Scouts develop skills including teamwork, time management, leadership, initiative, planning, communication, self-motivation, cultural awareness and commitment. We help young people to get jobs, save lives and even change the world.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Grange & Cartmel Scout Group provides year round activities for 150 boys and girls aged 6 - 18 years. The Group takes an active role in many local community events including the Town's Band Concerts, Edwardian Fair and Remembrance Day Parade. Our improved facilities will help in our search for new links with the local community, particularly during the winter when camping is less appealing.
