About this cause
We are a children's nursery open 50 weeks of the year from 8.00 am - 6.00 pm daily. We offer flexible childcare for working parents as well as care for children who access their free hours. Our provision is inclusive to all and we provide a warm and caring environment with well trained and friendly staff. We aid our children with not only their education but their personal and physical development; providing activities and resources to encourage the children to become involved and learn through their play. We are involved with local projects such as Lafrowda and have good links with the schools who are close in proximity to our provision. Our objective is for our children to leave us with self-confidence, self-esteem and personal and social skills which will sustain them through life.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The children who use the nursery are part of our community and for some it will give them the opportunity to experience outside play in a safe environment. Some of our children live in flats or houses with very small gardens or backyards which do not allow them the opportunity to experience this type of play and learning. The local park offers some physical play but requires an adult to take them.
