We need to buy a new mess tent for when we go on camp. Our current one got badly damaged last year.
About this cause
We provide a safe space every Friday night for girls age 10-14 to explore who they are, what interests them and what their dreams are. We provide them with lots of opportunities to try new activities and explore current topics. We also love to take the girls away; camps, sleepovers and residentials. Camp enables these girls who spend most of their lives in a city environment, to explore the great outdoors and develop a a whole range a of new skills. In October we will be travelling to London to stay at Pax Lodge - one of only 5 Girlguiding World centres, attending a Guide only gig at Wembley and exploring London. For some of these girls, this will be their first trip to London.
How this cause brings people in the community together
It will give more girls now and Inthe future, the opportunity to experience the great outdoors through camping.
