We want to buy a new minibus to take beavers, cubs, scouts on adventurous activities, day visits, camps and residential experiences.
About this cause
The members of our group make up a tiny number of the 28 million Scouts around the world. Through our Beaver Colony, Cub Pack and Scout Troop we aim to provide fun, exciting activities for children aged 6 to 25 and beyond, as well as challenging our members to do their best. Activities we provide are focused around adventure and teamwork, climbing, hiking, sailing, watersports, abseiling, archery, day visits and camping are just some of the activities on offer for our members. We also support Young people completing their Duke of Edinburgh award as part of our young leaders development.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Being able to transport the young people safely as a group to camps, visits and adventurous activities will help the young people to develop and build lifelong friendships. The minibus is also sometimes used by other scout groups subject to insurance and permits to support district and county events including as a support transport vehicle.
