We want to build an amazing outdoor play environment for our early years children to enjoy at school.
About this cause
Our PTA at Monk Fryston school helps to support our children, parents and school by organising fun fund raising activities. We aim to encourage good relationships between our parent community and the school by hosting events such as our annual Beer Festival, Bonfire and myriad of school discos. We use our funds to advance our children's learning by purchasing items that fall outside of the tight school budget. In previous years we have bought a suite of iPADS, revamped the library furniture and purchase of books, and most recently we have replaced all the electronic white boards in the classrooms with the latest technology. Our current project is to rejuvenate our Early Years outside play area.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Our project will help our community as we know what a difference an enabling environment can make to young lives. We believe outdoor play is essential for a child's physical, social and cognitive development; children should be able to stretch their muscles as well as their minds! Our plan is to allow them to interact with and experience nature and the elements, all while learning and exploring
