We want to buy equipment that will allow us to run events and activities specifically for the young people in our community.
About this cause
A summary of our governance document objective is: The centre is a community based centre that engages with the local community by providing a valuable community resource, accessible to all. Facilities for hire, childcare facilities, modern and relevant educational courses, community driven events and a centre point for all, especially those most vulnerable. It aims to create awareness through effective marketing and local involvement. We are now about to embark on a whole program of engagement with young people in our community, building stronger links by getting to know them and the issues they face.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The long term project aims to build a mutually respectful relationship with the young people in our community, engaging them and involving them in community issues as much as possible. We hope the project will also create a more positive approach by the children in how they interact with the people and organisations in our community, whilst addressing the more challenging issues.
