We want to offer the older members of the community the chance to keep fit and healthy whilst in a socially inclusive environment.
About this cause
Queensbury Community Programme (QCP) aims to offer offer social and learning opportunities to all in the local community. Providing adult learning classes luncheon clubs, exercise sessions, well being cafes and singing groups for the elderly and those living with dementia and their carers.
How this cause brings people in the community together
On the whole it will encourage the older members of the community to get fitter this will have a positive impact on their general health and well-being. It will keep them socially included in the growing community spirit of Queensbury. This will reduce the strain on carers and will have a positive impact on already overstretched NHS resources.
