We want to provide kitchen facilities, toilet with disabled access and improved access for all to enable wider community use of the church.
About this cause
The Friends of St Michaels is a registered charity which fundraises to enable restoration, conservation and improvement of the general wider public facilities to the church for both church and non church events and activities. Two optional projects are planned to give St Michaels improved facilities, they cover toilets with disabled access, catering kitchen and improved access for all. The objective is to provide an environment that will enable and encourage wider community use of St Michaels and afford it community outreach potential. Woburn Sands has experienced considerable expansion in the number of new homes recently built therefore community outreach is an important aspect for the future of St Michael's.
How this cause brings people in the community together
A wider range of activities will be possible for all the community within the church building. This will include better and fuller access for people with disabilities.
