About the Project
There are many families in the local area that have children who experience disabilities in many different forms. These activities provide local young disabled people with the chance to take part in activities they might otherwise be unable to take part in and a chance to meet other children with disabilities and have fun.
About the Charity
The aim of our organisation is to enrich the lives of families with disabled children through the provision of support, guidance and activities. We aim to help any family with one or more disabled child in Plymouth and the surrounding areas, such as Plympton and Ivybridge. We provide services for all members of the families: e.g: - offering practical advice to parents e.g. DLA Forms - Fun and Freedom activities to give young carers some time away from disabilities and activities in the past have included trips to the cinema, theatre, adventure parks and residential trips. - We also organise activities for disabled children to enjoy. They can attend with a parent or carer and events we have organised have included surfing, tobogganing and donkey rides.
