To further support those who attend our groups, we want to organise day trips for recovering alcoholics and funds for our allotment.
About this cause
To promote and protect the physical and mental health of recovering alcoholics in and around Greater Manchester for the public benefit by: Providing support groups and meetings, which may include counselling and treatment; Where gaps in services are identified, campaigning for suitable provision, particularly in connection with an NHS dual diagnosis service for treating alcoholism and mental health in Greater Manchester; Providing such other activities or services as the trustees may, from time to time, identify.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We want to be able to carry on with our meetings in our new venue and to support people as they learn to cope with their addiction and mental health problems and encourage them to move forward in their lives. If we can continue to do this as has been proven in the past and currently, we can stop people from returning to a lifestyle of alcohol and/or drug addiction, and build a positive future.
