We need finds to keep the roof over the heads of families who have a child battling cancer.
About this cause
We provide financial relief and assistance to families facing financial hardship whilst their children are being treated for cancer. My Shining Star have given grants to families that face eviction due to spending long periods in hospital caring for their child, have supported siblings that are distressed by the family being separated, funeral expenses and relief from debt where benefits take so long to come through. We are a new charity that would benefit so much from these funds and make a real difference within our local community. My role as founder of the charity sees me working voluntarily with lots of oncology families and we are extremely passionate about highlighting the struggles they face, aside from the actual cancer diagnosis. It is truly heartbreaking.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We have supported families locally with much needed assistance, this help has included funeral expenses, supporting siblings that have sadly lost their sibling, we have also bought things such as a suitable bed for a child with a brain tumour. Without this bed, it wouldn't have been possible for him to return home after brain surgery.
