About this cause

Cudham centre, a branch of the Woodcraft Folk (WF), is covered by the WF objects with the specific object of fulfilling the advancement of education and empowerment of children and young people for the public benefit. To achieve this Cudham provides both day and residential programmes for: organised children's groups, e.g. Woodcraft Folk, Cub Scouts, international youth groups; primary, junior and senior schools and home schooling groups; staff and leader training events; local environmental groups. Cudham centre provides valuable opportunities for children and young people to explore the countryside in a safe environment, to learn bushcraft activities, to observe wild animals such as deer and badgers, and to experience communal living with their peers and group leaders / teachers.

How this cause brings people in the community together

Cudham centre has developed good relationships with our neighbours and the local community. Local children's groups have stayed at the centre and benefited from the facilities, as have community groups such as Kith & Kids, Croydon Drop In. The planned building improvements will further increase the attraction of Cudham as a children's residential centre for local schools and children's groups.
