We need equipment to broadcast online to Clatterbridge Health Park ensuring our essential service to patients, staff and families remains.
About this cause
Broadcasting from Clatterbridge Health Park to those on it, using sophisticated equipment, relying on up to 36 volunteers. We require new equipment regularly to keep abreast with technology. Income to survive is dependant on sponsors who advertise with us for a small fee. We do not broadcast to the bigger audience, meaning they are unlikely to recoup their funds, it is purely seen as a good will gesture for them that they are associated with the hospital. For over 65 years now, operating 24 hours a day to offer light entertainment with 80% music & 20% chat, plus regular community bulletins and essential request collecting & playing being a core part allowing us to engage our listeners in what is felt as an essential service. We require regular income to survive another 65 years!
How this cause brings people in the community together
Anybody at the Health Park as patient, staff or family can benefit, listening to quality coverage of our station. Content is updated with live programmes ensuring it is delivered in a timely manner. We can be heard all over Wirral broadcasting on 1386am, although our remit is for the Health Park only. We must stream online to ensure our output is available to anyone who uses the Health park.
