We would like to raise funds to take the young people of Alston Moor on their first youth club trip.
About this cause
Alston Moor youth club works to ensure the long term provision and development of youth facilities for young people aged 11-19 years from Alston, Nenthead and Garrigill. The organisation offers a safe place for young people and provides them with the opportunities for them to grow to their full potential. This is a young person friendly service, part of which provides targeted projects centering on a sense of belonging and ownership, encouraging awareness of environmental issues, promoting healthy eating, using outdoor spaces. It promotes health and wellbeing by creating an environment where young people can come together and enjoy a range of activities.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Youth services form an integral part of any community and the Alston youth club can play an active role within our own communities of Alston, Nenthead and Garrigill. Supporting our young people in embarking on a trip will work towards our long term goal of forming a sustainable youth provision.
