We want to kit out a new wooden multifunctional space to allow us to open this area up to other community groups.
About this cause
Greenlight Gateway aims to advance the lives of young people and adults with learning disabilities through the provision of education ,services,and vocational activities . We collect and recycle textiles and aluminium cans, retail clothes through our local charity shop. we plant ,grow and sell seasonal plants to the public .We have a small cafe where we prepare food daily, conduct food hygiene, food values and healthy food courses to the young people who attend here. We provide work activities through our garden centre eg. grass cutting, hedge trimming, weeding and planting .We have a wood working project making garden furniture ,planters and nesting boxes for birds.We provide social clubs in the evening time for activities and outings requested by the members.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We will be able to provide a unique space in a tranquil setting for small groups to use We will be able to run activity workshops in a warm cosy environment The activities we offer will enable the whole community to integrate with people with learning disabilities in a fun, friendly and supportive environment. This project will run over the winter period offering a Christmas themed grotto
