About this cause
The Friends of the Heavitree Health centre supports the work of volunteers by providing a range of services and activities for patients of the two surgeries at the health centre in Heavitree. We provide services for people who are elderly and infirm, lonely, isolated and housebound and people who have disabilities. We provide a transport service, assistance with shopping,befriending, a lunch club, various activities including a memory cafe for people with memory loss. The aim of our services is that we provide help to people, to obtain a better quality of life.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The project will help engage people who are unable to use public transport into local community activities.
